Absolute Beach - Virginia Beach
Absolute Beach is a shoreline hybrid fitness race held on the sand at 37th Street, Virginia Beach, VA on Saturday, June 27, 2026. The course covers approximately 6.0 kilometers of coastline and combines running segments with timed workout stations and equipment rows.
The event schedule includes a pre-race StrengthErg chest-press station completed without the race weight vest; the StrengthErg is a maximal 2-minute effort and influences final time. On-course stations feature an Over-the-Shoulder medicine ball toss (30 reps), a 700 m SkiErg, 70 m weighted lunges, a 700 m RowErg, a 1200 m BikeErg, and a sandbag sled drag of 150 m. The suitcase carry is listed as 300 m in the event weights table. Several 2 km run segments connect the stations.
For the Absolute Division athletes wear a weight vest throughout the race: men 20 lbs and women 12 lbs, with the StrengthErg the only exception. Qualification times are required to enter the Absolute Division. Participants may optionally upload verified times to determine start waves; uploads must be submitted no later than 31 days before race day and remain valid for four months.
