Above the Clouds 5K
SPARC presents the 4th annual Above the Clouds 5K in Chesapeake, Virginia, held at the Dismal Swamp Canal Trail on June 6, 2026. The event raises awareness of brain cancer and includes in-person and virtual participation options.
The race program includes:
- Above the Clouds 5K, a timed 5K with prizes for top finishers
- Above the Clouds Virtual 5K
- Kid's 100 Yard Dash with a completion award
Registration includes a race shirt and finisher medal for in-person participants; virtual participants also receive a shirt and finisher medal. A portion of registration fees will be donated to a brain tumor organization. Early registration through May 6, 2026 guarantees shirt sizing and an early registration discount; later registrants may not receive preferred sizing.
Packet pickup is scheduled for Friday, June 5, 2026 from 3:45 PM to 8:00 PM at DICK's House of Sports in Chesapeake. There is no day of race packet pickup. Post race food will be available for purchase from onsite vendors.
