Abington Festival of Running
The Abington Festival of Running is a community-organised road race in Great Abington, Cambridgeshire, held on 4 October 2026. Now in its 23rd year, the event raises funds for Great Abington Primary School and takes place around and within the grounds of Granta Park and the nearby villages of Little and Great Abington.
The event includes UKA licensed road races that count toward UKA times (Event Licence Number #31593). Race services include chip timing, finisher medals, water stations, medical support, run marshals, post-race refreshments, and free parking. Organisers describe the 2K fun run as traffic free and suitable for families and first-time participants.
Course notes:
- 10K Road Race - UKA licensed, mainly flat route around Little and Great Abington
- 5K Road Race - UKA licensed, two laps within the grounds of Granta Park
- 2K Fun Run - traffic free, entirely within Granta Park
