Aberdeen Proving Ground Run To Honor 5K Run/Walk
The Aberdeen Proving Ground Run To Honor 5K is the sixth annual event presented by Aberdeen Proving Ground Survivor Outreach to honor the surviving family members of fallen service members. It is scheduled for Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Aberdeen Proving Ground Shore Park with parking at the US Army Test & Evaluation Command Center.
The event offers the following distances:
- 5K Live
- Virtual 5K
The race is professionally timed and managed by Blue Cheetah Sports Timing, LLC. The listed entry fee is $40 and includes chip timing or Race Joy for virtual participants, a long sleeved quarter zip shirt, a finishers medal, and a race bag. Registration is limited to the first 500 live or virtual participants. No refunds or transfers are permitted.
Logistics include a pre race packet pickup on Tuesday, April 7, 2026 from 2:00 to 6:00 pm at Ruggles Golf Course, and race day packet pickup beginning at 9:00 am. Virtual runners may submit results from April 10 through April 12, 2026 (11:59 pm Eastern Time). The course is an out and back route starting near Aerospace Road and Founders Street, proceeding to the Legacy Forest with a turnaround at the Monument. Parking for the live event will be available adjacent to the Start/Finish and accessible from the Bayonet Road entrance.
Awards will be presented to the top three male and female finishers in overall and standard age divisions. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
