ABC Multi-sport Day at Timber Pointe Outdoor Center
ABC Multi-sport Day is a community event held at Timber Pointe Outdoor Center offering running, bicycling and access to camp trails for hiking. Multiple group run distances and guided trail run options are available, and a range of bike routes is offered including gravel and an internal mountain bike or cyclocross loop.
Distances:
- 4 mile run.
- Longer run around 7.5 to 8 miles.
- Short and long bike routes approximately 12 to 13 miles and 29 miles.
GPS course files and course maps are provided for participants for the bike and run routes. A swim will not be offered this year.
Lunch and beverages are provided on site in an outdoor setting around a campfire or inside Stern Lodge in case of inclement weather. The meal includes chicken, bratwurst, vegetables, chips, snacks, soft drinks and beer. Attendees may bring a side dish or dessert to share.
Timber Pointe is owned by Easter Seals and operates inclusive camp sessions for children and adults ages 7 and up that offer activities such as fishing, boating, arts and crafts, target sports, music and horseback riding. Organizers request donations to Timber Pointe; any amount is welcomed and at least ten dollars is encouraged. Donations may be cash or check made out to Timber Pointe Outdoor Center.
