15th Annual Aaron Vaughn Frogman Swim & Run
The 15th Annual Aaron Vaughn Frogman Swim & Run is an open water swim and running event held at Jensen Beach Park in Jensen Beach, Florida. The event honors a Navy SEAL who was killed in action in August 2011 and is organized as a community day with activities for families and spectators.
Race offerings include both swimming and running distances:
- 200 meter open water swim
- 1 kilometer open water swim
- 5 kilometer open water swim
- 5K run
- 10K run
The schedule features separate swim and run events and combined race categories, plus virtual options for the run and the swim. Timing is provided by a chip timing company that offers live results, preliminary result kiosks, and individual result pages with time, pace, a finisher certificate, and a short video clip of the start and finish. Results are streamed live on the race day results site.
On-site amenities and activities listed for the day include food, vendors, a Tadpole Swim, a Kids Zone, and displays by Martin County SWAT and Fire Rescue. Net proceeds benefit Operation 300, a nonprofit that supports children of fallen soldiers. Packet pickup is available in advance at a local location and on race day.
