AARC Phil's Tavern 5K (Phil's 5K) - 2026
The Ambler Area Running Club hosts the 2026 Phil's Tavern 5K on its traditional course in Ambler, Pennsylvania, starting and finishing near Shady Grove Elementary School. The course follows Lewis Lane and Miles Drive and is organized as a runners-only event due to road closure limits.
Distances:
- 5K race on the traditional Phil's Tavern course.
- Kids Fun Run about 1 mile, untimed, on the school grounds; frozen treat provided.
The event is intentionally priced low to encourage community participation. Registration fees are $15 plus processing for the 5K and $4.65 plus a $0.35 fee for the Kids Fun Run. Optional technical race shirts are available for $10 during registration. Participants may offer an optional donation to the event beneficiaries: Wissahickon Valley Boys and Girls Club and Students Run Philly Style.
Amenities include chip timing, water stops, and post-race refreshments provided by The Phils Tavern. Awards are based on chip time; overall and age-group winners receive pies. The event does not accommodate walkers, strollers, or pets. It proceeds in rain or shine unless cancelled for safety or other emergency. No refunds and no bib transfers.
