Event Details
The Ambler Area Running Club organizes the Phil's Tavern 5K. The event uses a historic course starting and finishing at Shady Grove Elementary School in Ambler, Pennsylvania.
The registration fee is $15. Optional technical shirts are available for $10. The event has a policy of "rain or shine" unless cancelled for safety reasons. There are no refunds or bib transfers. Due to road closure limitations, walkers are not accommodated. Optional donations can be made to support two race beneficiaries: the Wissahickon Valley Boys and Girls Club and Students Run Philly Style.
Amenities and Features
The race uses chip timing. There are water stops on the course and post-race refreshments provided by Phil's Tavern. Indoor restrooms are available at the venue.
Awards
Awards are given based on chip time in several categories. These include overall top three open male and female runners, top three masters male and female runners, and top three finishers in each age group in ten-year increments. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
