About the race
A Stroll in the Park is an endurance running event held on October 3, 2026 at Boling Park in Canton, GA (1200 Marietta Hwy). The event offers timed running options over fixed durations and uses a measured loop course at the park.
Participants choose from these options:
- 12 hour endurance run
- 8 hour endurance run
The course is an approximate one mile loop on crushed gravel with a grass shoulder. Only complete laps count toward final mileage. The surface has few rocks or roots and is described as soft; wet areas are possible in rain or snow. There are no lights along the path, so a headlamp may be needed until after sunrise and again after sunset. Wearing gaiters is recommended.
One aid station will provide drinks, cold and hot food, cookies, candy, and later pizza, soup, and grilled cheese sandwiches; some vegetarian items will be offered. There is ample parking and room for runners to set up chairs and self support near the course. Laps are counted with RFI technology with manual counting as a backup, and progress can be tracked on a screen.
Packet pick up is located at the park near the path. Toilets and shaded areas are available near the running path. Volunteers are requested for setup, aid station support, lap verifying, packet distribution, and cleanup. Completion awards are provided to finishers. Registration must be completed before September 15, 2026 to receive a race t shirt; registration closes October 2, 2026 at 11:59 PM ET. Entry fee is listed as USD 110.
