The 5k is on paved roads and paths. Runners start at the village and complete two loops of an out-and-back along Johnson Drive, which will be closed to traffic. The race will be chip timed and is capped at 250 participants. Award categories include top three male and female overall and age-group awards in 10-year categories. Participants receive finisher medals, a race shirt, and free race photos. County shuttle service (RIDE) will provide free, accessible transportation between East Jersey Old Town Village and the Cornelius Low House. Additional activities on the front lawn include a concert of patriotic-themed music and 18th-century performances at the Indian Queen Tavern.
