A Revolutionary Celebration Run
This event on July 4, 2026 takes place at East Jersey Old Town Village in Johnson Park, Piscataway, New Jersey. It features running and walking options around the village and park grounds and is presented by Even Kiel Racing.
Distances offered:
- 5k
- 1 mile fun run and walk
The 5k is held on paved roads and paths and follows two loops of an out-and-back course along Johnson Drive. Johnson Drive will be closed to traffic for the course. The event will use chip timing and the field is capped at 250 participants.
Race day services include parking and check-in, finisher medals, a race shirt, free race photos, and awards for the top three overall male and female finishers plus age group awards in ten-year categories. Food vendors listed for the day include Lady Kettle Corn, The Craft Caffe, and The Mexi-Boys.
Additional activities on site reflect the village setting: 18th-century music and storytelling at the Indian Queen Tavern by historical interpreters, and a concert of patriotic-themed music on the front lawn. A free, accessible, on-demand county shuttle service will provide transportation between East Jersey Old Town Village and The Cornelius Low House to allow visits to multiple historic sites.
