A Race to Remember 5K - Rome, GA
A Race to Remember 5K is a community running event on June 27, 2026 in Rome, Georgia, presented by A Night to Remember Foundation. The event benefits Dementia Care Needs, the Regional Caring Closet, a local grant program, and the Alzheimer’s Association. Activities include a 5K run and a 1 mile health walk.
The 5K course is an out and back route along the Oostanaula River using the trail near the Post Office. The course starts and finishes at the Courtyard by Marriott Rome Riverwalk at 320 W. 3rd Street. The event uses professional timing provided by Wire2Wire Running, LLC with MyLaps R.F.I.D. technology and the 5K course is certified as a Peachtree Road Race qualifier.
All participants receive a t-shirt. To guarantee a t-shirt size, organizers require registration by Friday, June 13. Packet pickup is scheduled at the Courtyard by Marriott Rome Riverwalk the day before the race with additional pickup available on race morning. Day of registration is allowed but t-shirt sizes may not be guaranteed.
Awards are given for 1st through 3rd overall male and female and by age group. The 1 mile health walk is not timed and has a single award for the fastest child age 6 and under. Water stations, post race snacks, sponsor booths, parking at 3rd Ave Parking Deck, and raffle prizes are part of the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
