9/11 Heroes Run - Richmond, Virginia
The 9/11 Heroes Run is scheduled for September 26, 2026 at the Eanes-Pittman Public Safety Training Center, 6610 Public Safety Way, Chesterfield, VA 23832. The event welcomes runners, ruckers, and walkers of all ages and fitness levels to honor the heroes of 9/11 and those who have served since.
The event seeks to activate and unite communities and to empower local veterans, active duty service members, first responders, and families of the fallen. Multiple 5K running divisions are offered, including an honor bib Rider division and a general 5K run that is open to individuals and families.
TMF partners with GORUCK to offer rucking divisions at this event. Rucking is a sport based on special forces training in which participants walk or run while carrying weighted rucksacks. All participants registered in the GORUCK division will receive the event's exclusive TMF GORUCK patch.
Registration options include both paid and no-fee entries; a volunteer registration option is also available. The event program combines running, rucking, and volunteer roles to provide multiple ways for the community to participate on the day.
