TCRR Club Championship 7M and 5k

The event takes place in Petersburg, Virginia, with courses based at Richard Bland College and surrounding roads. Options include in-person and virtual races across several distances:

• 7 miles
• 3.1 miles (5k)
• 1 mile (kids)
• 10.1 miles (combined 7 mile and 5k)

The seven mile course is mostly flat, on hard-surface roads, loops through the countryside and returns to Richard Bland College for the finish. The 5k is an out-and-back that includes a loop around the Richard Bland College gazebo. There is an option to run both the seven mile and the 5k when the seven mile can be completed within 1 hour and 30 minutes.

Registration fees vary by membership status and by date. Club members receive a discount for early registration for single and combined entries. Virtual single races have a listed fee and a higher listed fee applies for combined virtual entries.

Awards are limited to TCRR club members in good standing. Trophies are planned for the first overall male and female in the seven mile and for overall 5k finishers, plus trophies for the top three males and females who run both races. Ribbons are listed for the top three in each age group for both the seven mile and the 5k. A special finisher medal is noted for completing both races. Note that athletes who run both races are eligible for seven mile awards but not for 5k awards.

Age groups run 12 and under, 13-15, 16-19, then five-year increments from 20-24 through 65-69, and 70 plus. Long-sleeve club shirts will be available for purchase and food and beverages will be served after the event.
