9/11 Heroes Run - Holly Springs, North Carolina
The 9/11 Heroes Run is a community event on September 12, 2026 at Sugg Farm at Bass Lake Park in Holly Springs, NC. It brings together runners, ruckers, and walkers to honor the heroes of 9/11 and people who have served since, and to support local veterans, active duty service members, first responders, and families of the fallen.
The event offers multiple entry categories that cover the same distance:
- 5K
One division is a GORUCK rucking category in partnership with TMF. Rucking involves walking or running while carrying a weighted rucksack, a practice derived from special forces training. Participants registered in the GORUCK division will receive the event's TMF GORUCK patch.
Registration opens June 3, 2026 for the listed divisions. Some divisions close registration on June 30, 2026 while other divisions, including an honor-bib option, remain open through the event day.
