9/11 Heroes Run - Boston/New England
The event takes place at the American Heritage Museum, 568 Main Street, Hudson, MA 01749, on September 5, 2026. It brings together runners, ruckers, and walkers to honor the heroes of 9/11 and those who have served since, and aims to activate and unite communities while supporting local veterans, active duty personnel, first responders, and families of the fallen.
Multiple event options are offered around a 5 kilometer distance, including a 5K Run (standard), a 5K Run - PUSHER, a 5K Run - RIDER (Honor Bib), a 5K Ruck division, and volunteer roles. Registration opens June 1, 2026 for most events; several events have registrations that close on June 30, 2026 while the Honor Bib and volunteer registrations remain open until the day of the event. Fees vary by entry type, with recorded amounts including $31, $36, $41, and free entries for specific options.
The organizer partners with GORUCK to provide rucking divisions. Rucking involves walking or running while carrying a weighted rucksack.
