9/11 Heroes Run in Atlanta, Georgia
The 9/11 Heroes Run takes place at Grant Park in Atlanta, Georgia on 09/12/2026. The event brings together runners, ruckers, and walkers to honor the heroes of 9/11 and those who have served since, and to support local veterans, active duty personnel, first responders, and families of the fallen.
The weekend program includes a 5K Run and a 5K Ruck. Registration for the 5K Run and the 5K Ruck opens 05/29/2026 and closes 06/30/2026; the registration fee for the 5K Run is $36.00 and for the 5K Ruck is $41.00. Volunteer registration opens 07/31/2026 and closes 09/12/2026; volunteer participation is free.
TMF partners with GORUCK to offer rucking divisions at this event. Rucking is described as a sport based on special forces training in which participants walk or run while carrying weighted rucksacks. Participants registered in the GORUCK division will receive this year’s TMF GORUCK patch.
