9 Locks Challenge
The 9 Locks 10K Challenge is a point to point 10 kilometre run from Stourbridge to Brierley Hill along a historic canal route. The course follows canal towpaths and paths with a mix of leafy sections and industrial character, and includes a notable nine lock climb in the final stretch. A finisher medal is awarded at the finish.
Practical arrangements take place at the finish area in Brierley Hill (Waterfront, postcode DY5 1XA / DY5 1XD). There is a large free car park at the Waterfront; parking near the Hop House is chargeable. Coach transport is provided free from the finish area to the start in Stourbridge. The event uses a seeded start and competitors collect race bibs on the day at registration in the Bonded Warehouse. Toilets are available at the Bonded Warehouse and at the finish area in Wetherspoons / Hop House.
Support and logistics on the course include a water station at the 5 km halfway point and a bag drop; competitors should note the bag drop may not arrive at the finish before they do.
