8RUN5 Turns One: Community 5K
8RUN5 marks its first anniversary with a free, untimed community 5K (3.1 miles) in Ottawa on September 5, 2026. The course starts and finishes at Jordan Block - 101 W Main Street, Ottawa, IL.
The event is presented as a community run rather than a competitive race. There are no pace requirements; participants may run or walk. The gathering emphasizes movement, connection, and welcoming new and returning participants.
On-course and post-run provisions include a water station at the halfway point, water and refreshments at the finish, music, and time for socializing after the run.
