80s Flashback 5K
The 80s Flashback 5K is a community road race held in Franklin, North Carolina, as part of the larger 80s Flashback Weekend. The event is centered at 877 Ulco Drive and features a single 5K distance offered in both a competitive timed division and a recreational untimed division with different entry fees.
The weekend includes multiple related activities such as a themed parade, a pageant, live tribute performances, an evening party, raffle prizes, silent auction items, games and trivia. Events are described as family friendly and an awards ceremony for the 5K is held after racers finish.
Proceeds from the 80s Flashback Weekend, including all funds raised by the 5K, are donated to Shriners Children’s Greenville. Registration for the 5K opens in 2025 and closes on June 30, 2026. Race packet pick-up is available on the day of the race. The organizers note that event shirts are limited on race day and that registration deadlines may apply for guaranteed shirts.
