728 Cadets 5K Family Fun Run

About the race

The 728 Cadets 5K Family Fun Run and One-Mile Fun Walk is a Halloween-themed community running event held on October 31, 2026 at Otsego Regional Park in Otsego, Minnesota. The event includes two distances:

• 5K
• 1 Mile

Proceeds support the 728 Cadets Marching Band and River Valley Winter Performing Arts. The 5K course is a repeated loop that starts and finishes within Otsego Regional Park; participants are asked to keep to the right on the course to allow passing on the left. Bicycles, scooters, roller blades, skates, and skateboards are not permitted on the race route. The running and walking path will remain open to the public during the event, and users are asked to share the trail courteously.

Registration for the two events carries fees listed by the organizer, and race registration typically includes a race bib and a race bag. The first 100 registrants are guaranteed a race day bag; additional bags are provided as inventory allows. Free non scary kids activities are scheduled and do not require registration. Parking inside the park is limited; additional parking is available along 96th Street NE outside the park. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
