728 Cadets 5K Family Fun Run and One-Mile Fun Walk
This event takes place on October 31, 2026 at Otsego Regional Park in Otsego, Minnesota. The activity has a Halloween theme and participants may wear family-friendly spooky attire. Proceeds support the 728 Cadets Marching Band and River Valley Winter Performing Arts.
Event distances
- 5K run, registration fee $35
- 1 Mile walk, registration fee $25
The course is a repeated loop that starts and finishes within Otsego Regional Park. Participants are asked to keep to the right side of the course to allow passing on the left. The park trail will remain open to the public during the event, so trail users should be courteous to others.
Free, non-scary kids activities are provided and do not require registration. Bikes, scooters, roller blades or skates, and skateboards are not permitted on the course. Parking inside the park is limited; additional parking is available along 96th Street NE outside the park.
Race day bags are guaranteed for the first 200 registrants; additional bags will be distributed as inventory allows. Registration opens August 29, 2026 and closes October 31, 2026. Registration includes a race bib and a race bag. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
