6 Hours of Power (Alum Creek State Park)

The 6 Hours of Power is a trail running event held at Alum Creek State Park in Lewis Center, Ohio. The course is situated along the state's largest inland beach and features a diverse landscape that includes cliffs of Ohio shale exposed by local streams. Participants navigate a terrain composed of approximately one-third paved bike path, one-third gravel or dirt, and one-third single track trail.

The event follows a loop format where participants run as many 5 km laps as possible within a six-hour timeframe. To officially complete the race, a runner must finish a minimum of four loops. Participants are not required to remain on the course for the full six hours; the official race time for those completing the minimum requirement is recorded upon the completion of their fourth loop.

Scoring is based on the total number of loops finished within the six-hour limit. The individual who completes the highest number of loops is designated the event champion. An aid station providing moral support and supplies is located at the start and finish area of the loop. This event is conducted under a special use authorization from Alum Creek State Park and is a Wolf Pack scored competition.
