About the race
The 5Kater is a community running event held at 1175 Appleblossom Dr., Neenah, WI. It includes multiple short-distance running and walking options and family activities. Registration for the listed events carries no fee.

Event activities include a silent auction, face painting, drinks for sale, and complimentary food and coffee. T-shirts are available for purchase at $10 each and will be available for pickup the morning of the event.
The event raises money for research into long-chain hydroxyacyl-CoA dehydrogenase deficiency and related fatty acid oxidation disorders. A registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit collects donations and directs 100% of proceeds to a research team at Pittsburgh Children’s Hospital focusing on these metabolic disorders. Organizers report this is the third year of the event and that more than $10,000 was raised in the prior two years, contributing to a partner organization’s total fundraising of over $500,000 to date.
