18TH Annual 5K Walk/Run for Cancer Center
The 18th annual 5K Walk/Run for Cancer Center is a non-competitive, family-friendly community event held in Derby, Connecticut at 350 Seymour Avenue on October 24, 2026. The event honors, remembers, and celebrates the patients of The Center for Cancer Care and has run annually since 2009.
Proceeds are dedicated to providing personalized cancer care and to easing the financial burden faced by Griffin Hospital patients during treatment. The event takes place rain or shine. Same-day registration is available. Event registration includes a race t-shirt; t-shirt size is guaranteed for registrations completed by October 2.
Fundraising recognition includes the William C. Powanda Memorial Award for the top fundraising individual, the Team Synergy Award for the top fundraising team, and the Make It Happen Award for the individual or team judged to best embody the event spirit. Sponsors listed for the event include Jefferson Radiology and the KeyBank Foundation as a Pacesetter Sponsor.
