Event Overview
This event offers a 5K run, walk, or roll (3.1 miles). Participants can choose between a timed or non-timed version. A virtual 5K option is also available, allowing people to complete the distance on their own time.
The course starts and finishes across from Phil Welch Stadium and Bode Ice Arena on Southwest Parkway in St. Joseph, Missouri. It proceeds over a trail bridge and returns along the same path, offering views of the Fairview golf course.
Logistics and Amenities
Chip timing is provided by Show Me Running Company, with instant results and finish line photos available. On the day, there will be water and snacks at the start/finish area. Registration includes an event t-shirt for those who register by a specified deadline.
A free 1-mile Fun Walk & Roll is also offered. The event is open to all ages and fitness levels. Friendly dogs on leashes with updated vaccinations are welcome.
Parking is free and accessible in lots near Phil Welch Stadium, the Rec Center, or grassy areas. Restrooms are available at Bode Ice Arena and Phil Welch Stadium. The event proceeds rain or shine.
Registration and Awards
The registration fee is $35 until a specified date, after which it increases to $40. Awards are given to the first, second, and third place male and female finishers in multiple age categories. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
