Market Street Mission 5K Race for Recovery : July 4 at Central Park of Morris County
The annual Market Street Mission 5K Race for Recovery is scheduled for July 4 at Central Park of Morris County in Parsippany-Troy Hills, New Jersey. The event offers multiple participation options, including an in-person 5K, a 2 mile walk, kids runs, a VIP 5K package, and a virtual 5K that can be completed remotely. Proceeds support Market Street Mission programs that provide meals, shelter, and residential recovery services.
The in-person 5K follows a scenic cross country course with a wide starting area, tree-lined paths, flowing water, and natural surroundings. Water is available at three locations on the 5K course. Walkers use portions of the 5K course and begin after runners for course safety; the 2 mile route passes a water station roughly halfway and offers an alternate route around the tennis courts for a more stable pathway. The Kids Fun Run is a short sprint for children age 10 and under on a large field; one entry option is free and does not include a shirt.
A souvenir tech tee is included with most paid in-person entries and with the virtual 5K, which will be mailed to virtual participants. The VIP package includes a reserved parking spot, skip-the-line registration with materials delivered to the car, extra event tickets, and a venue tour.
