5K & Paws Walk - Belmont Lake State Park
The 5K & Paws Walk is a community run and walk held on October 11, 2026 at Belmont Lake State Park in West Babylon, NY. The event benefits Baxter's Pet Pantry at Long Island Cares, a program that provides pet food for families experiencing food insecurity.
The event offers both in-person and virtual participation. Virtual entries may be completed and posted from race day through the following Sunday, with a virtual participation window listed for October 11 through October 18, 2026. Registered participants who sign up three weeks in advance may receive personalized bibs; T-shirts are included while supplies last and sizes are not guaranteed.
Registration pricing is shown with processing fees included; early total pricing is listed as $44.15 and race day total as $49.33. Children age 12 and under are free. Additional donation options are available during registration.
The course is a two-loop route around Belmont Lake State Park. Event amenities include live online, text, and email results, free finish line photos, and same-day finish line video. Awards are presented to the top male and female overall and to the top three male and female finishers in multiple age groups from 9 and under through 80 plus.
