5K & Paws Walk - Belmont Lake State Park
The 5K & Paws Walk is scheduled for October 11, 2026 at Belmont Lake State Park in West Babylon, New York. The event benefits Baxter's Pet Pantry at Long Island Cares, a program that provides pet food to families facing food insecurity.
Participants may choose between an in person 5K run/walk and a virtual option. Virtual entries can upload times and photos from the event date through the following Sunday and may not include a bib or event swag. Early online registration totals listed on the event page are $44.15 and race day totals $49.33; ages 12 and under are free. Registered participants may receive a t shirt while supplies last.
The course is a two loop route around Belmont Lake. Personalized bibs are available for those who register at least three weeks before the event. The event offers live online, text, and email results and provides free finish line photos. Awards include trophies for the top male and female overall and top three male and female finishers in standard age group categories from 9 and under through 80 plus.
