5km For Charley Mae : event description
This is an inaugural community run and walk of 5 km at Joe Sams Leisure Park in Waterdown, Ontario on June 14, 2026. The event is held in honour of Charley Mae and raises funds for McMaster Children’s Hospital. Net proceeds will support pediatric care and services for children and families at the hospital.
The event schedule includes registration opening, welcome announcements, a warm up hosted by ALTA Spine and Sports Therapy, the 5 km run/walk, and a post-event area with food trucks, vendors and information tents. For safety, wheelchairs and strollers are permitted on the course; bikes and scooters are not allowed.
Registration fees apply with separate categories for children and adults and with early bird and standard pricing periods. The event features teams and individual fundraising, with a fundraising total reported toward an overall goal.
