Event Overview
The 2026 Cox 5K for CERF is a community-focused event designed to support the Cox Employee Relief Fund (CERF). This event offers participants the opportunity to engage in physical activity through multiple formats, including an in-person gathering at the Cox Campus in Atlanta and a flexible virtual option.
The event features several participation categories:
- 2026 Cox In-Person 5K
- 2026 Cox Virtual 5K
- Cox In-Person Kids Fun Run (open to children under 12 years of age)
Participation Details
The in-person 5K and Kids Fun Run take place on the Cox Campus. For the Kids Fun Run, recognition is provided to the participants. The 5K is open to various forms of movement, allowing participants to run, walk, skip, hop, or roll using strollers and wheelchairs.
The virtual component allows for participation from any location, whether indoors or outdoors. Virtual participants may choose any day within a nine-day window to complete their distance. T-shirts are provided to virtual participants who complete their race and log their results through the specified online portal.
Additional Features
In partnership with Hinge Health, participants can contribute to additional fundraising for CERF by completing specific health-related tasks or referring others to the virtual exercise therapy program. Volunteers are also incorporated into the event structure to manage the various components of the race day.
