5K Against ALS
This event in Minden, Nevada brings together runners, walkers, families, and frontline families to raise awareness and funds for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. The event is hosted by Ashes and Embers Foundation. Proceeds will benefit ALS of Nevada, support Ashes and Embers Foundation’s mission of caring for frontline families, and provide direct assistance to a family currently facing ALS.
The program includes multiple event types and entry options:
- 5K timed runners only race bibs and official timing
- 5K joggers and walkers untimed community participation
- 100 yards firefighter relay teams of four
- 3.1 miles virtual option run or walk where participants are located
In-person registration fees listed for the on-site events are $25. The virtual option is listed as free and can include fundraising. Race bibs and timing apply to the timed 5K. The first 90 participants to check in receive a CVH swag bag.
All ages are welcome. Food will be available on site. Pets, skateboards, and roller skates are not allowed. Strollers and wheelchairs are permitted. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
