This event includes a main 5k run and a 1k fun run for children 12 and under, held at Bluemont Park in Arlington, Virginia. Points from the 5k count toward the 5k Series, the Back of the Pack Series, and the Fall Series. The Back of the Pack is a separate series for runners with slower average paces so they can compete with similarly paced participants and earn series points.
The 5k is chip timed and finishers receive a medal. The course is a flat out and back route on the W and OD paved trail with minimal elevation change. One water station is located along the course near mile marker 1.55; some water stations may also offer Gatorade. Restrooms are available inside the park.
Packet pickup is available the evening before at Willston Multicultural Center, 6131 Willston Dr., Falls Church, VA, and also on race morning at the venue. Parking is inside Bluemont Park near the 4th Street entrance. Live interim results are posted on Athlinks and via an on-site QR code, with final results and series points posted the Monday after the race. Event photos taken by staff are posted on the event organizer social pages by the Tuesday after the race.
