51fiver Cotswold Standard Distance Triathlon
The 51fiver Cotswold Standard Distance Triathlon is held at Lake 32 in the Cotswold Water Park near Cirencester, England. The triathlon uses a one lap 1500 m swim in the lake, followed by a 40 km bike on a flat rural course and a one lap 10 km run on tarmac.
The bike route passes through local villages including Ewen, Kemble, Crudwell, Charlton, Minety and Ashton Keynes and features long stretches of good road surface. The run course is described as pancake flat and entirely on tarmac. An Aquabike option follows the same swim and bike format but does not include the run; time finishes when the rider returns to transition.
The event offers chip timing with splits and run laps, live to web results, medals and finisher goodies, on-site catering and race photography. Wetsuits are likely to be mandatory; surf wetsuits are not permitted. Registration is available on the day before and on race morning. Parking is provided about 1000 metres from transition with a parking charge payable on arrival.
