5 Peaks at Heart Lake
The event takes place at Heart Lake Conservation Park. The conservation area is named for a spring-fed kettle lake that is roughly shaped like a heart. Shaded trails run through wooded areas and provide a way to experience the fall colours.
Race distances:
- 3 km Kid's Run
- 7.5 km Sport Run or hike
- 14.6 km Enduro Run or hike
- 22.5 km Grit Run
Registration and merchandise are handled through Race Roster. Individual registration prices do not include swag; swag and finisher medals can be pre-purchased via the registration platform.
Practical and safety information: washroom facilities are available at the start and finish area. Spectators are welcome and best viewing is from the start/finish area. Free parking is available but limited at the Birchmount parking area near the Wild Wetland Splash and Pool. For safety and course management, dogs, headphones, strollers or baby joggers, and nordic walking poles are not permitted on the race course.
The event is cup-free. Water and electrolyte drink will be available at the start and finish and at one or more aid stations on course. Participants planning to be out longer than an hour should carry a receptacle for fluids, calories, and electrolytes.
Awards are given to the top three finishers by gender in each age category and distance, and to the top three overall. All awards must be picked up at the race and will not be mailed. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
