5 Peaks Trail Running at Bowmont Park
This event is the third in the 5 Peaks Trail Running Series and takes place on the trails of Bowmont Park in northwest Calgary. The course is singletrack focused and includes punchy climbs and fast descents, with views of the Bow River valley and the city skyline.

- Kid's Run 1 km
- Kid's Run 3 km
- Sport Run or Hike 7.4 km
- Enduro Run or Hike 11.7 km
The race starts at Varsity Village Park next to Christine Meikle School. The route begins with a westward traverse on the Sideshow Bob trail built into a cliff, drops into Dale Hodges Park, loops west and connects to trails running parallel to the Bow River. Sport runners return from Silverthorn Park while Enduro runners complete an extra eastern loop before joining the shared final stretch. Expect rolling hills, a few steep climbs, descents and heat. Race distances and maps may change based on trail conditions.
Practical details: washrooms are available at the start and finish area. The event is cup free; water and electrolyte drink are available at the start and finish and at one or more aid stations. No dogs, no headphones, no strollers or baby joggers are allowed on course; hiking poles are permitted only in non competitive hiking categories. Parking is limited. Swag and optional finisher medals are not included with individual event registration and must be purchased separately.
