4th of July 5K Run or Walk : Punta Gorda, FL
The event is a 3.1 mile community run and walk through Babcock Ranch, organized as part of the Babcock Ranch Summer Race Series. Two event options are offered: a timed 5K and an untimed walk. Registration fees are listed as $30.00 for the timed event and $25.00 for the untimed event. Registration opens March 31, 2026 and closes May 31, 2026.

The course follows paved roads and sidewalks and finishes at the Founders Square boardwalk near the bandstand area. The start is in front of Lee Health on Crescent Loop in Punta Gorda. Water stations are located at the halfway point and at the finish. Bathrooms are available in Founders Square. Race day parking is described as ample and free near the starting area.
Packet pickup is available on July 2 and July 3 at the Babcock Ranch Lifestyles Office and on race day at Founders Square. To guarantee a race shirt size, register by June 25, 2026; after that date shirts are available while supplies last and a no shirt option is offered.
Awards are presented at the bandstand area with overall and age group prizes for male and female finishers. All participants receive a finisher medal.
