4th of July 3 Bear 5K - LandoCenter
The 4th of July 3 Bear 5K is an annual July 4 community event in Land O Lakes, Wisconsin, based at Luoto's Fitness and finishing at the east parking lot of Brew's Pub. The event includes a 5K run walk and bike option and a separate youth fun run for participants under 14. All profit from the 5K is donated to Great Headwaters Trails and youth fun run proceeds support the Land O' Lakes community playground.
The 5K route travels through town park areas, woods and local roads, passing the Northern Waters Museum, the water treatment plant and the airport. The course surface is mixed: asphalt, packed gravel trails and mowed grass. Water and restrooms are available at the park pavilion about halfway along the 5K route. Dogs and bicycles are permitted on the 5K. Strollers may be difficult to push on some sections. A timing system will be available for participants who want recorded times. The sheriff will assist with the crossing at County Road B.
The youth fun run is approximately 1.4 kilometers on hard surface, follows a loop past the elementary school and finishes at Brew's Pub parking lot.
Registration is $25 per participant. Online registration closes July 3 and day of registration is cash only. T shirt guarantees and supply details vary by registration date. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
