4th of July 3 Bear 5k
The event is a community recreational race held on July 4 in Land O' Lakes, Wisconsin. It includes a main 5K and a youth fun run just under 1K. Both races start at Luoto’s Fitness and finish in the east parking lot of Brew’s Pub. All proceeds from the 5K are donated to Great Headwaters Trails; youth fun run proceeds support the Land O' Lakes Community Playground.
The 5K route uses a mix of asphalt, packed gravel trails and mowed grass. Water and restrooms are available at the park pavilion about halfway along the 5K route. Dogs and bicycles are welcome on the 5K, and a timer will be available for participants who want an official time. Strollers can be difficult to push in places on the multi-surface route. The youth fun run follows a solid, hard-surface course that runs clockwise from the gym, crosses County B by Brew’s Pub, follows sidewalks near local landmarks, and finishes at the east parking lot of Brew’s Pub.
Sponsors for the event include Lac Vieux Desert Health Center, Inspirational Touch Massage, and Health in Motion physical therapy. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
