40 for FORTEY takes place on 14 June 2026 at the Toowoomba Showgrounds Caravan Park, Glenvale Road, Glenvale QLD, Australia. The event offers a multi-lap 40 km format and a separate 4 km remembrance option on the showgrounds circuit.
The 40 km event comprises ten 4 km laps of the Toowoomba Showgrounds. Teams and school teams complete the same total distance using a relay format with one lap per turn. Teams may consist of 2 to 10 participants. The 4 km Remembrance Event is a single 4 km lap; participants may walk or run and the course is pram friendly.
Age requirements differ by event: 40 km solo entrants must be 15 years or older. Participants in the 4 km or team events must be 10 years or older. Children younger than 10 may participate for free if accompanied by a paying adult.
Entry fee for all events is A$26.50 per participant, inclusive of mandatory charges. All proceeds are donated to the Queensland Police Legacy Scheme. Prizes include Best Dressed awards for both events; 4 km participants and teams are not eligible for the Fastest Team prize. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
