40 for FORTEY
40 for FORTEY is a fundraising running and walking event on 14 June 2026 at Toowoomba Showgrounds Caravan Park, Glenvale Road, Glenvale QLD. Entry fees are A$26.50 per participant and all proceeds are donated to the Queensland Police Legacy Scheme.
Event formats and distances:
- 40 km SOLO 10 x 4 km laps by one participant
- 40 km TEAM 10 x 4 km laps completed in relay style
- 40 km SCHOOL team entry, 10 x 4 km laps per team
- 4 km REMEMBRANCE EVENT 1 x 4 km lap
The 40 km event is run as ten laps of the showgrounds. Teams, including school teams, may consist of two to ten participants and complete laps one at a time. The 4 km event is a single lap; participants and groups may walk or run together. Participants are welcome to run or walk and the course is pram friendly.
Age requirements: 40 km solo entrants must be 15 years or older. Participants in the 4 km event or team entries must be 10 years or older. Children under 10 may participate free when accompanied by a paying adult.
Prizes include a Best Dressed prize for both events; 4 km participants and teams are not eligible for the Fastest Team prize. Event clothing is available for collection between 7 May and 31 May; collection is possible at race pack collection on 13 June or on event day. Postage is not offered. The event director may delay or abandon the event if adverse weather affects safety. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
