Mother's Day Classic - Toowoomba
The Mother's Day Classic at Middle Ridge Park in Toowoomba is a community run and walk held in support of breast and ovarian cancer research. The event features a 5 km course made up of three even loops on the footpath, fully contained inside Middle Ridge Park. The course is described as flat, pram friendly, and accessible for wheelchairs.
Event facilities are located off Stenner Street and include parking in the park and surrounding streets. An event village provides food and amenities such as a coffee van, fresh fruit at the finish line, and bottled water; participants are also asked to bring their own water. Public toilets are available on site. Family activities listed include face paint, kids activities, a photobooth, and dancers. Dogs are allowed in all areas on leash. Skateboards, bikes, and scooters are not permitted on site.
This is a community fun run/walk and the event operates without timing services. Raffle tickets are sold before the event and the raffle is drawn while participants are on the course.
