Event Overview

The 4 Town 5K is a 25th annual event held on Saturday, September 12, 2026, in Somers, Connecticut. The race starts and finishes inside the Four Town Fairgrounds at 56 Egypt Road. All proceeds from the event benefit the Somers Recreation Department.

Race Details

The event is a single 5K (3.1 mile) race with a mass start. The course is USATF-certified (#CT19030JHP). It is described as generally flat with the exception of two short inclines and has very few turns. The course reopens to vehicle traffic 45 minutes after the start, setting a time limit that corresponds to a 14-minute, 30-second per mile pace.

Registration & Amenities

Registration is online only and costs $35. Registration includes a custom Bumpa Built finisher medal, a t-shirt, and complimentary entrance to the Four Town Fair on race day. Bib pickup begins at 7:00 AM on race day.

On Course

Water is provided in cups at the halfway point and the finish line. Professional, fully automatic timing is used, with results based on gun time. The UConn Women's Ultimate Frisbee Team provides volunteer support. Jogging strollers are allowed but must start at the rear, and the child must wear a DOT-approved helmet and be registered. Pets are not allowed.

For Spectators

Spectators can view the race from several points, including the start/finish area inside the fairgrounds. A spectator entry fee applies for the fairgrounds, which is reduced before 8:00 AM.
