Event overview
The 4 on the Fourth presented by Novant Health is scheduled for Saturday, July 4, 2026 in SouthPark, Charlotte, NC. The event offers two race distances:
- 4-Miler
- Kids Mile
Registration prices listed are $29 for the 4 Miler and $19 for the Kids Mile, with a price increase scheduled after November 28, 2025. Registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferrable. Registering by June 15 guarantees a Recover Brands tank top and a finisher’s medal.
Logistics and rules
Location: 4325 Barclay Downs Drive, Charlotte, NC 28209. Parking is free at SouthPark Mall. Packet pick up is available on race day starting at 6:30 AM and at three Midtown-area locations on Thursday, July 3 (10:30 AM – 6:00 PM). The course is described as scenic and runner-friendly and will be chip timed; results are available at the finish and via a QR code on the bib. There is one water stop on course and porta-potties at the start/finish. There is no bag check. Dogs are not allowed on the course. Strollers and baby joggers are permitted and may receive a separate start time if needed.
Awards: top three males and females in each division will receive awards; age-group and overall winners are recognized at a post-event awards ceremony. Time limit for the 4 Miler is 1 hour 15 minutes. Medical services at start/finish are provided by Novant Health. Events proceed rain or shine unless conditions are deemed unsafe.
