Event Overview
The 4 on the Fourth running event takes place on Saturday, July 4, 2026 in Charlotte, North Carolina. The event starts and finishes in the SouthPark area at 4325 Barclay Downs Drive.
Distances
The event includes two race distances:
- 4 Miler
- Kids Mile
Registration and Details
Registration for the 4 Miler is $35, with the price increasing after February 28, 2026. Registration for the Kids Mile is $25. Participants who register by June 15, 2026 are guaranteed a tank top and a finisher's medal. Registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
The event is chip-timed. Results are based on when a runner crosses the start and finish lines and will be available after finishing. The course has a 1 hour and 15 minute time limit. There will be one water stop along the course.
Post-Race and Amenities
A post-race festival includes live music, games, and trivia. Popsicles from King of Pops are provided at the finish. Contests include running and holiday-themed trivia for gift cards and an apple pie eating contest for a cash prize.
Free parking is available at SouthPark Mall. Porta-potties are located at the start/finish area. Medical services are provided at the start/finish line. Dogs are not allowed on the course, but strollers and baby joggers are permitted; they may be given a separate start time. There is no bag check service.
