2026 4 Lovers 5k & 10k
This event takes place on February 13 at Four Mile Run Park in Alexandria, Virginia. It offers two distances:
- 5k
- 10k
Points from the race count toward the Year Long 5k, 10k, and Back of the Pack Series and toward the Winter Series. There is an in person race and a virtual race option for participants who cannot attend on the day.
Runners receive a finisher's medal, a technical (Drifit) event shirt, and chip timing. T shirt sizes are guaranteed for runners registered before February 3; sizes for later registrants are available as supplies last. Packet pickup is available at the event and race day registration is offered, though shirt sizes cannot be guaranteed for race day registrants.
The course is paved and described as flat with very minimal elevation gains and runs next to the water. The 10k course includes four water stations at about miles 1, 2.5, 3.7, and 5.2; the 5k course includes two water stations at about miles 1 and 2.1. Gatorade will be available at some stations. Porta johns will be located near the start and finish.
The event benefits the Purple Heart Foundation. Awards are given to the top three men and women overall and to place winners in standard age categories; those placing top three overall are not eligible for age group awards. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
