Sport In Action 3 Village 5 & 10 Mile
This event takes place on Sunday 4 April 2027 at Wetheral Village Community Hall, Wetheral, Carlisle CA4 8HE. The venue is described as easy to access, located just off the M6 and A69. Both distances are fully chip timed and have course measurement certificates.
- 5 Mile: single lap, approx elevations +228/-224 ft.
- 10 Mile: two laps, approx elevations +448/-460 ft.
The routes start close to the Wheatsheaf Inn, finish at Wetheral Community Hall and run on quiet country roads. Water stations are provided: the 10 mile route has three stations at approximately 2.5, 5 and 7.5 miles; the 5 mile route has one at approximately 2.5 miles. Facilities at the venue include male and female toilets and a baggage lay down area. Limited onsite parking is available with additional spaces on surrounding streets; competitors are asked to avoid parking on the course and to consider car sharing to reduce local disruption.
Race administration notes include course measurement numbers (10 Mile 17/108, 5 Mile 17/109) and a UKA licence number to be confirmed. Race numbers and timing chips are issued at registration. Results are published live online approximately 20 minutes after the start. Marshals and the race director provide course safety instructions and only bone conduction headphones are permitted.
