Sport In Action 3 Village 5 & 10 Mile
This event offers two road races around Wetherall, run mostly on quiet country roads. The courses are officially measured and certified accurate by the Association of UK Course Measurers. The route starts close to the Wheatsheaf Inn Wetheral and finishes at Wetheral Community Hall. The courses are undulating with approximate elevation changes of +233 / -244 ft for the five mile course and +448 / -460 ft for the ten mile course.
Race numbers and timing chips are issued at race registration. Live results are provided by the event timing service and results publication is planned shortly after the races. A full course risk assessment, route maps, the race permit and the measurement certificate will be on display at the event headquarters.
Parking is limited onsite with additional spaces in surrounding streets; car sharing is recommended to limit disruption to the local community. Competitors are asked to follow marshal and director instructions for safety and to be aware of traffic and cyclists on the course.
Prize awards include overall first to third for male and female, and age group prizes allocated based on the number of competitors in each age group. Withdrawal and transfer rules apply, including a 50% charge for withdrawals made up to March 4, 2027, and no refunds after that date; transfers are allowed up until April 27.
