Sport In Action 3 Village 5 & 10 Mile
The event takes place on 4 April 2027 at Wetheral Village Hall in England. It offers two road race distances:
- 5 Miles
- 10 Miles
Both courses are officially measured and certified accurate by the Association of UK Course Measurers. The route starts close to the Wheatsheaf Inn, finishes at Wetheral Community Hall, and runs on quiet country roads. The terrain is undulating, with approximate elevation changes of +233/ -244 ft over the 5 mile course and +448/ -460 ft over the 10 mile course.
Race numbers and timing chips are issued at registration. Online entries close on 2 April 2027 and race day information will be issued after online entries close. A full course risk assessment, route maps, the race permit and the measurement certificate will be on display at event headquarters on race day.
Limited parking is available onsite and additional parking is available in surrounding streets; organisers recommend car sharing to limit local disruption. Marshals will be positioned on the course; competitors are asked to follow marshal and race director instructions for safety.
Prizes are awarded for overall male and female first to third places and for age groups according to the stated entry bands. Course record times are: 5 Mile male 00:25:30, 5 Mile female 00:31:22, 10 Mile male 00:52:25, 10 Mile female 01:01:07. Live results will be published online after the race.
