Sport In Action 3 Village 5 Mile Road Race : Wetheral, 4 April 2027
This is a fully chip-timed 5 mile road race held at Wetheral Village Community Hall, Wetheral, Carlisle CA4 8HE on Sunday 4 April 2027. The course is officially measured and runs on quiet country roads.
The route starts close to the Wheatsheaf Inn and finishes at Wetheral Community Hall. The profile is undulating with an approximate elevation change of +233 / -244 ft. There is one water station on the course at about 2.5 miles. Competitors are asked to follow marshal instructions and the race director’s guidance and to be aware of cars and cyclists.
Facilities at the venue include separate male and female toilets, a baggage laydown area, and light refreshments; refreshments are free for competitors and available for a small charge for spectators. Limited parking is available onsite; additional parking can be found on surrounding streets. Organisers recommend car sharing to limit disruption to the local community.
This is a UKA licensed event and a full course risk assessment, route maps and measurement certificate will be available at event headquarters. Race numbers and timing chips are issued at registration. Prize structure includes 1st to 3rd male and female prizes and age-group awards, with age-group prizes paid by BACS within seven days.
