The event takes place in Tropical North Queensland from Thursday to Saturday, 9 to 11 July 2026. Dates were moved to 9-11 July 2026 because of another major event in Cairns.
The weekend program covers a range of race distances and related events:
- 126.6 km Grand Slam, three marathons over three consecutive days
- 42.2 km Cairns Marathon (same course as Marathon 3)
- 18 km Lake Morris Road Race
Competitors may choose to run one, two, or all three marathons. The Grand Slam medal is awarded only to competitors who complete all three marathons.
