3 Counties Trail/S. Luachra
This is a mountain trail race in County Cork on Sunday 5 July 2026. It is part of the Coillte Summer/Autumn Trail League, Munster. Entries open Monday 29 June 2026 and close Saturday 4 July 2026. The event has an entry limit of 250 and entry fees are €7 for seniors and €5 for over 65s and under 18s.
Distances offered:
- 11.50 km main course, 300 m climb
- 5.00 km short course
The route is fully marked. Terrain includes fire roads, open mountain sections and forest trails. The course crosses two rivers and passes farmland. The trail is frequently wet, so grippy shoes are recommended.
GPS use is not allowed. Mandatory kit is Level A basic: a showerproof, windproof jacket must be carried during the race. The exact kit to be carried may be confirmed at registration depending on conditions. Random kit checks may be carried out and failure to carry required items may lead to denial of entry or disqualification. An early start option is available on the day. Parking is at Knockacummer Wind Farm, Rockchapel, County Cork.
To qualify for end-of-year prizes, a runner must complete two non-running volunteer roles in a calendar year. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
