2Slow4Boston Marathon, Half & 50K
The event takes place in Greer, South Carolina and includes on-site and virtual race options held within the period April 24 to May 3, 2027. Race formats offered are a marathon, a half-marathon, and a 50K, plus virtual marathon and virtual half-marathon options that may be executed indoors or outdoors within the allowed dates. Virtual results must be submitted by midnight on May 5, 2027, and virtual participants must continue once they start a run.
A distinguishing rule for the event is that the last participant is treated as the winner for placement awards in the live marathon. The organizer allocates twenty dollars of each registration toward prize money for the last three finishers of the marathon only. The half-marathon and 50K will recognize their last three finishers with a trophy and a gift card but no prize money. Virtual participants contribute to the prize purse but are not eligible to win prize money; virtual entrants are also ineligible for certain finisher placements if they are first-time marathoners or race staff.
All on-site events share a generous 12 hour time limit to complete the course. Entry fees vary by race and by virtual versus on-site format. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
