22 Strong Walk
Building Change hosts the 8th annual 22 Strong Walk in Cottleville, Missouri, to honor and support United States military veterans. The number 22 represents the average number of veterans who lose their lives to suicide each day. In seven years of the walk, Building Change has donated over $400,000 to local and national organizations that serve veterans. The event starts and finishes at Frankie Martin's Garden in Cottleville, located at 5372 St. Charles Street.
Available distances:
- 22 Miles
- 2.2 Miles
The 22 mile course is on a designated route in St. Charles County. Along that course there are rest stops with shuttles to the starting location, fuel including water, Gatorade and food, and portable toilets. These stops are sponsored by St. Louis Print Group.
The 2.2 mile walk is family and dog friendly and is described as self-supported. Water and other refreshments will not be available along the 2.2 mile course, so participants are advised to bring their own. A single registration fee of $50 applies to the listed events.
