22 Degree Run & Plunge 2.2 Mile
The event combines a 2.2 mile run/walk and a polar plunge at Walker Park in Brightwaters, New York. The run/walk follows a flat course through Brightwaters and the plunge takes place at Walker Park on the Great South Bay. There will be no water stop on the 2.2-mile course.
On-site amenities include coffee, hot cocoa, bagels and cookies, hot soup, C4 energy drinks, a large heated tent, a changing station with individual pop-up tents, and a DJ. Race swag is handled by the organizer and some items are shipped to participants.
Logistics note parking is available in lots across from the park with access from S Bay Avenue and Bayway Avenue. Park restrooms are closed for the season; three portable toilets will be provided. Day-of registration accepts cash, check, and card payments. Bib pickup procedures include a self-lookup area for bib numbers and options for virtual participants to upload times and photos. Awards are offered for the top three men and top three women overall and top male and female veteran. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
