About the race
The 12 Corners Wine Run 5k is a chip timed 5k run and walk at 12 Corners Vineyards in Benton Harbor, Michigan, held on July 11, 2027. Registration includes a super soft ring spun cotton T-shirt, a shatterproof collapsible wine glass, a finisher medal, a race bib, online results, and a pour of wine at the finish. Minors may register at a discounted rate and receive a shirt, medal, and bib but will not receive a wine glass or a pour of wine.
The course starts and finishes at the winery and follows a mix of grass and paved roads. The route is described as scenic and is not optimized for personal best performances. Runners and walkers are both welcome; strollers are allowed but not recommended because of uneven ground. Dogs are not permitted on site due to USDA rules for the produce and vegetable farm.
Proceeds support the Sarett Nature Center, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit focused on environmental education that manages over 1,000 acres, eight miles of trails, a nature center building, a tree top walkway, and live native animals.
Top three finishers in each age group receive custom awards. Age groups use 10 year categories: 19 & Under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80 & Over. Competitive participants must start with the first group to be eligible for age awards. Results are posted online and age awards are available for pickup on race day beginning one hour after the first wave. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
