Event Overview
The 12 Corners Wine Run 5k is a running and walking event held at 12 Corners Vineyards in Benton Harbor, Michigan. The course takes participants through a 115-acre estate that features a variety of vinifera and hybrid grapes, including Riesling, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Chardonnay, and Traminette. The route consists of grass and paved roads, starting and finishing directly at the winery.
Participants can choose from the following options:
- 5k chip timed run or walk
Registration includes a soft cotton t-shirt, a shatterproof and collapsible wine glass, and a finisher medal that also functions as a wine stopper. Graduates of the course receive a pour of wine as part of their participation. The event is timed and scored by J3 Timing, with results available online.
Additional Information
The event is open to all ages, though participants under 21 receive a discounted registration that excludes the wine glass and wine pour. Strollers are permitted on the course, though the ground is noted to be uneven in certain areas. Dogs are allowed at the event provided they remain on a leash and do not enter the winery buildings.
Awards are presented to the top three finishers in several age categories, ranging from ages 1-10 to 80 and over.
