Event Overview
The US Road Running event in Midlothian, Virginia, takes place at Midlothian Mines Park. This event is part of the US Road Running Race Series, allowing participants to earn points toward the series standings. Runners meet at the Headstock area located next to Loch Lothian for the start of the competition.
Course Details
The event features an out and back course design with multiple laps depending on the chosen distance. The following race options are available:
- 5K: Participants complete the out and back course two times.
- 10K: Participants complete the out and back course four times.
There is a course time limit of 2:00 hours for both distances. Registration must be completed online prior to the event, as there is no option for on-site registration. Packet pickup is conducted at the event site during the 30-minute window before the race begins.
Finisher Recognition and Awards
All participants who finish their distance receive a themed medal. While not mandatory, runners are encouraged to wear costumes, and a Best Costume Award is mailed out following the conclusion of the race.
