Stars and Stripes 10k

Event overview

The Stars and Stripes race takes place on May 24, 2026, at Dorey Park in Henrico, VA (2999 Darbytown Rd). Points from the race count toward the Year-Long 5k, 10k and Back of the Pack Series and toward the Spring Series. Proceeds will benefit Richmond Metropolitan Habitat for Humanity. The event offers both in-person and virtual participation options. Walkers are welcome. Registered participants receive a finisher’s medal, a technical (DriFit) event shirt, and chip timing. T-shirt sizes are guaranteed for runners registered before May 13. Standard registration fees listed in the event information vary by distance and increase after April 30; prices also increase on race morning.

Course and logistics

The course is a fairly flat, paved route that runs mostly through Dorey Park; the 10k is an out-and-back run completed twice. Water stations are placed at approximately mile markers 1.55 on the 5k, and at 1.55, 3.1, and 4.65 on the 10k; Gatorade will be available at some stations. Restrooms are available within the park. Packet pickup is available at the event and race day registration is offered, though t-shirt sizes cannot be guaranteed for race day registrants. Live results are posted online, and final results with series points are posted the Monday after the race. Awards are given to the top three men and women overall and to first and second place in multiple age categories. The event operates in most weather conditions and organizers will notify registrants if the race is canceled or changed.
