2026 Stars and Stripes 5k & 10k
The event offers a choice of two distances on a family-friendly paved route at Dorey Park in Henrico, Virginia. Points from the event count toward the Year-Long 5k, 10k and Back of the Pack series, and toward the Spring Series. Proceeds will benefit Richmond Metropolitan Habitat for Humanity.
Distances:
- 5 km event on a paved park route.
- 10 km event run as an out-and-back course completed twice.
Participants receive a finisher’s medal, a technical (DriFit) event shirt, and chip timing. T-shirts are guaranteed for runners registered before May 13; shirts for later registrants are first-come first-served. Race day registration and packet pickup are available at the event. Walkers are welcome and a virtual run option is offered for those who cannot attend in person.
Course details note a fairly flat, paved route primarily through Dorey Park. The listed Back of the Pack time is 11:00 min per mile. Water stations are placed at approximately mile markers 1.55 on the 5k and at 1.55, 3.1 and 4.65 on the 10k; Gatorade will be available at some stations. Restrooms are available within the park.
Live results are posted online and via an on-site QR code. Awards are given to top overall finishers and to age group placings, with rules for eligibility stated by the organizer.
