US Road Running - Akron
The Eagle 5K and 10K events take place at Loyd H Roland Memorial Park in Akron, Pennsylvania. This race is part of the US Road Running Race Series and utilizes a paved surface for the entire course. The events are open to the public without a requirement for club membership, though members of US Road Running receive a discount on registration fees.
Participants can choose between two main distances:
- 5K: This distance involves completing the out-and-back course two times.
- 10K: This distance involves completing the out-and-back course four times.
The race follows an out-and-back format, measuring approximately 1.56 miles per full loop. There is an overall course time limit of 2 hours for all participants to complete their race. Facilities include bathrooms located at the pavilion near the starting line.
Registration must be completed online prior to the event as there is no on-site registration available. Packet pickup is conducted on the morning of the race, beginning 30 minutes before the start and concluding 10 minutes before the event begins. All finishers receive a themed medal upon completion.
