US Road Running - Akron
The US Road Running event in Akron, Pennsylvania, takes place at Loyd H Roland Memorial Park. This race is part of a larger series organized by US Road Running, allowing participants to earn points toward the series rankings. The event features two specific road race distances:
- 5K (3.1 miles)
- 10K (6.2 miles)
Both distances are held on a paved out-and-back course. Participants in the 5K complete the designated loop twice, while those in the 10K complete the loop four times. There is a two-hour time limit for both distances. Facilities such as bathrooms are available at the pavilion located near the starting line.
Registration is handled exclusively online through RunSignup; there is no option for on-site registration. Packet pickup is conducted on the morning of the event near the starting area. All finishers receive a themed medal upon completion of their race.
While not a requirement, the organizers encourage participants to wear costumes. A group photo is taken before the start, and an award is presented for the best costume at that time. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
