US Road Running - Akron
The Luau themed race takes place at Loyd H Roland Memorial Park in Akron, Pennsylvania. This event is part of the US Road Running Race Series and offers participants the opportunity to earn points toward the seasonal standings. All participants must complete their registration online prior to the event, as no on-site registration is available.
The race is conducted on a paved surface. The course is designed as an out-and-back loop measuring approximately 1.56 miles. Runners choose between two primary distances, each involving multiple laps of the designated path. Facilities, including bathrooms, are situated at the pavilion near the starting line.
The available distances include:
- 5K (two laps of the out-and-back course)
- 10K (four laps of the out-and-back course)
A standard course time limit of two hours is enforced for both distances. Participants are encouraged to wear costumes, and a group photo is taken before the start. An award for the best costume is presented at the beginning of the event. Every runner who completes their distance receives a themed finisher medal.
